I just tried to reproduce the issue but for me it did not show up.
Therefore a few more information may be required.

Your desktop is running a xorg or wayland session?
Was this just crashing once or can you reproduce it again?

Maybe you could install a package systemd-coredump,
then the last entries returned by 'journalctl --no-pager'
should contain a "Stack trace" that could lead to the
location causing the crash.
