I've been using fcitx as the default Chinese input method for decades.
Recommending ibus simply breaks everything for me.

^ ibus (which I never use) was already running, so fcitx
won't start.
Please revert
220 * debian/control.in: Recommends ibus, gnome-shell tried to start
for years
221 now, ibus is required to input emoji these days. (Closes:
#815050)
Or find a better solution, e.g. Recommends: ibus | fcitx |
