Package: gtk-doc-tools
Version: 1.33.1-1
Severity: minor
User: debian-qa at lists.debian.org
Usertags: adequate broken-symlink

There is now a broken symlink in the gtk-doc-tools package.

   $ adequate gtk-doc-tools
   gtk-doc-tools: broken-symlink /usr/share/man/man1/gtkdoc-
   scangobj.1.gz -> gtkdoc-scanobj.1.gz

It looks like what happened is that the Debian-specific manual pages
were removed but a symlink to one of them was forgotten to be removed.

   gtk-doc (1.33.1-1) unstable; urgency=medium
   ...
     * Remove Debian-specific man pages.
       Most of them don't actually describe the commands' options, and those
       that do are sufficiently outdated/incomplete that they are more
       misleading than useful at this point.

More information about the missing symlink:

   $ chase /usr/share/man/man1/gtkdoc-scangobj.1.gz
   chase: /usr/share/man/man1/gtkdoc-scanobj.1.gz: No such file or directory

   $ ls -l /usr/share/man/man1/gtkdoc-scanobj.1.gz
   ls: cannot access '/usr/share/man/man1/gtkdoc-scanobj.1.gz': No such file or directory

   $ apt-file search gtkdoc-scanobj ; echo $?
   1

   $ apt-file search gtkdoc-scangobj ; echo $?
   gtk-doc-tools: /usr/bin/gtkdoc-scangobj
   gtk-doc-tools: /usr/share/man/man1/gtkdoc-scangobj.1.gz
