Thanks for providing this information..... You don't happen to know the
underlying reason for why they did this?
Unrelated to python(3), gnome-doc-utils is deprecated after all.
We currently have no reverse dependencies in testing on the Debian side,
thus I think we're in a good position to remove it rather than fix any
outstanding bugs in it (and autoremoval should kick in soon as the
targeted date was apparently yesterday). I'm thus tagging this wontfix
for the potential benefit of anyone trying to get the overview of
remaining python3 porting work.
