Package: gnome-control-center
Version: 1:3.38.1-1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate
***
* What led up to the situation?
Configure system via Settings application in gnome desktop.
Trying to configure the timeout to lock the screen.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
* What was the outcome of this action?
The same option is available in two different menu items:
- Privacy --> Screen Lock --> Blank Screen Delay
- Power --> Blank Screen
Changing one changes the other as well (which confirms that they are
the same parameter) so there should only be one place where this
option is available and with one name only.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
I expected to find this in one place only. Being present in two places
is confusing as you don't know if that is different from another thing that
you just set. If that really needs to be in two places, at least we should
see the same name. Also note that parameter "Blank Screen Delay" has a
description, while "Blank screen does not".
