What laptop, and what dock?

Does the laptop have an Intel, AMD or NVIDIA GPU? If AMD or NVIDIA,
are you using Mesa or the vendor's proprietary drivers?

Which versions of dependencies, especially libcairo2 and librsvg2-2?
