gnome-control-center --display=$DISPLAY

with: DISPLAY=localhost:11.0
   * What was the outcome of this action?

(gnome-control-center:101048): Gdk-ERROR **: 13:52:03.754: The program 'gnome-control-center' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)'.
