Same here on XFCE with gnome-terminal.

Upstream has fixed it with:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/vte/-/commit/a07cfcde3e595084ebc72c96c41857bf05c4c668

Can this patch be backported for the debian package, please?
