nautilus-python doesn't work with nautilus 43. Sadly, nautilus-python
looks unmaintained upstream so it's unclear when this issue will be
resolved.
nautilus 43 is a major upgrade. It switched to GTK4. The extension API
had major changes.
Nautilus 43 is available in Debian experimental. However, it may be
difficult to install because it uses gnome-desktop 43 and you'll need
everything you're using to be built against gnome-desktop 43 also.
Perhaps the easiest way to handle this if you don't want to wait for
the gnome-desktop transition to begin is to revert 4420025 in nautilus
and the corresponding bump in debian/control.in and rebuild nautilus.
Thank you,
Jeremy Bicha
