GNOME Evolution Email Client - Formatting Issue When Editing Old Message As New

To Whom It May Concern:

When I use the feature "Message | Edit as New Message...", my signature
block is moved to the top of the message, and the original text appears
in the bottom.  No new signature block is being added.
This is a rather annoying behavior.

Note that this happens with all my messages, not just occasionally.

Behavior can be repeated by the following steps:

 * Open existing mail
 * From Menu, select Message | Edit as New Message...
 * Text and Signature Block are exchanged in previously correct
locations, i.e, Signature Block appears above Text.

Please advise.

System used is MX Linux 21.  Evolution version is 3.38.3-1 which is the
current standard version in Debian Bullseye.

I had reported this issue to the developers of GNOME Evolution and got
the reply quoted below:

Thanks for reporting this. Unfortunately you are using a version that
is too old and not supported anymore by GNOME developers. There will
not be any bug fixes or feature additions by GNOME developers for the
version that you use.
Please feel free to reopen this issue if this situation still happens
with a more recent version of GNOME. Feel also free to report this in
the issue tracking system of your Linux distribution if your Linux
distribution still supports your current version.
You could also bring this up in a support forum instead.

I see that GNOME Evolution version 3.44.4-1 is in Debian "Testing
Unstable" status, 3.44 being the recent stable release as
per https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Evolution.  Do you have any indication
as to when a more recent/up-to-date version of GNOME Evolution is ready
for rollout and will - hopefully - make it into MX afterwards?

Norbert
