I consider my patches to be derivative works of the upstream source.
They use the same license and I do not require explicit
acknowledgement in debian/copyright.

My 1-line patch was already accepted upstream. It is not required for
every single contributor to upstream to be added to debian/copyright.

Similarly, I consider my packaging to be a derivative work of upstream
and many of the Debian GNOME packages do not have debian/ specifically
referenced in debian/copyright (beyond the wildcard copyright and
license). I don't believe this should be REJECT criteria.

If Heather wants to claim copyright, she is welcome to. But I don't
think we should be forced to.
