It is both. I have been relying on USB to print for the past few months while
other devices (mostly apple/iOS devices and a laptop running Linux Mint) can
print using the LAN.

As I cannot install leafpad from the Debian repos, I substituted it with
featherpad instead.

It appears to not be a regression when I reverted GTK back to the version
in bullseye. Results below.

Merge request 6 (not 6.1) was somehow able to provide an entry in the
GTK print dialog that works through the LAN (and it still does after trying
mr6 again and unplugging the USB cable to be sure). It would only appear in
gedit and not in featherpad, as expected. I also think it was a bug acting
as a workaround for another bug.

I'll look into making/finding a separate bug report for my situation.
