Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
Installing the package.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
$ sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-ng
* What was the outcome of this action?
Packages file-roller and xdg-desktop-portal were installed as
a depenency.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
These two packages not installed.
* Discussion
AFAICT, neither of these two packages is essential to get this
extension, Desktop Icons NG, working on Gnome. Given this, they
should be a Recommendation instead of a Dependency.
Hint: this observation was made on a test setup on a virtual
machine, not the machine used for reporting this bug. Both are
Debian bookworm, though.
