This merge request has been merged, so I'd like to move this bug forward:

Is there any opposition to backporting it to debian stable (eventually
on next point update as this isn't a security fix, I'm not sure what the
exact process is here) ?


I'll be happy to do the actual package update work (adding the patch,
verifying it applies etc) but I don't want to step on any toes, so any
input is appreciated :)
