Bug#1021178: gnome-software: does not properly render package description (<em>-tags)

Dear Maintainer,


I recently tried out gnome-software, and noticed that there's a glitch with
rendering emphasis-tags.

E.g. the "puredata-gui" package contains an org.puredata.pd-gui.metainfo.xml
file, which has the following paragraph in its description:

<p>
 Think of Pd as a <em>Modular Synthesizer</em> that is also a programming
language.
</p>
```

for whatever reasons, gnome-software renders this paragraph without spaces
around the '<em>Modular Synthesizer</em>' (see attached image).


other HTML-entities, like '"' leave spaces intact.
