Package: gdm3
Version: 3.38.2.1-1
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
Playing SuperTuxKart 1.4
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
sorry happen on random track in random situation, but each time for a race
* What was the outcome of this action?
GDM fill the disk with millions of same error lines.
The error is this:
/usr/libexec/gdm-x-session[n]: amdgpu: amdgpu_cs_query_fence_status failed
and is written at the end of the following three files:
/var/log/syslog
/var/log/messages
/var/log/user.log
I keep root partitions with 100 GB free space, when the error is
triggered,
the three files grown to 33 GB each, when the root is full, STK freeze,
GDM crash, CTRL+ALT+Fx won't work, I had to remotely connect via SSH and
remove user.log to free minumum space.
Then manually remove those repeated error lines
* What outcome did you expect instead?
GDM write the error once to avoid saturate the root partition

In Synaptic, force version, 3.38 is the only available.
I have no idea how to force newer supported version like 3.41
As now I had temporaly switched to LightDM as the system was unusable
