Source: xdg-desktop-portal-gnome
Version: 44~beta-1
Severity: serious
Control: forwarded -1
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/xdg-desktop-portal-gnome/-/issues/74

If xdg-desktop-portal-gnome 44~beta-1 is installed and a non-GNOME
desktop is used (like MATE), the first time trying to use something
like the file chooser in a portal-confined app will do nothing until
the systemd user service times out (90 seconds??). Afterwards, the
file chooser works normally.

In Debian (and Ubuntu), it's not expected that
xdg-desktop-portal-gnome would be installed on a system that does not
have GNOME installed (it is not a dependency of other things).
However, it is easily possible for someone to have multiple desktops
installed on their system and they would experience this bug then.

Thank you,
Jeremy Bícha
