-- Possible Work-Around:
Go to /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections directory.
Find the corresponding *.nmconnection file.

Look in the [wifi-security] section of the file.

Replace:
key-mgmt=wpa-psk

With:
auth-alg=open
key-mgmt=sae

Restart network manager:
sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager.service

The key_mgmt type can be verified with:

sudo wpa_cli status
