Actually, this fails more than 80% of the time for me,
on machines with 2 CPUs from Hetzner, and I also
get failures on AWS.

Moreover, it fails in reproducible-builds:

If you want to reproduce this, I've noticed that the failure rate is a lot higher
on single-cpu systems, so you might want to try GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="nr_cpus=1".

If you can't reproduce the problem that way, I can offer ssh access to a
machine where this happens almost all the time, as I already said in the initial
bug report (please contact me privately for details).
