I had tried `journalctl -u gdm3` and `dmesg` but those were not very
informative... Didn't think of `journalctl -b`, sorry. It's similar to
your logs, attached for the record.

More specifically, I do have "gsettings[1650]: unable to open named
profile (Debian-gdm): using the null configuration." which seems to
match what you fixed (per the changelog).

Anyway, I built 45.0.1-1 locally and can confirm it fixes this error
screen, thanks!
