Package: zenity
Version: 4.0.1-1
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: rz498sc at gmx.net
Dear Maintainer,
having used zenity sporadically (ie. in a self-written script wrapping
scanimage and PDF generation from the scans for archiving of documents), I
recently noticed that it is not possible anymore to preselect a not-yet-
existing filename using the options combination --file-selection --save
--filename=path/to/new-file (assuming the path/to directory exists) using
zenity from sid. The file name field stays empty.
I noticed this bevaviour in the past few days, so it had already been present
in version 4.0.0-1.
In the zenity version contained in bookworm (3.44.0), the suggested new file
name appears in the dialog as expected, so this might be a regression caused by
upstream changes.
Kind regards
Rainer
