   * What led up to the situation? A recent dist-upgrade on my sid laptop
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)? tried killing the offending process, removing .cache/tracker3, stopping the service, none worked
   * What was the outcome of this action? regardless of what I do, tracker does not stop, nor does it actually work, it does not respond even to tracker3 status
   * What outcome did you expect instead? working indexing, /usr/libexec/tracker-miner-fs-3 running for a finite time and producing an index
