Version 0.44.0-1 has been uploaded to the Debian archive, so this bug
should be fixed.
I've just filed a new bug report as there are some test failures on
buildd for some arches. I'm reasonably sure that it's not related to
endianness but likely due to slowness of those buildds so they take
longer then the specified maximum of 120 seconds.
But I'd rather leave closing of this bug up to you.
