This is probably a duplicate of https://bugs.debian.org/1083115 rather
than a new ptyxis bug: we took some patches from upstream to fix a cursor
scaling issue in KDE Plasma + Wayland, and they had the side-effect of
causing the opposite cursor scaling issue in GNOME Shell + Wayland.

You could verify this by comparing with GTK3 apps like gtk-3-examples
(should all behave the same as Firefox and gnome-terminal), and with GTK4
apps like gnome-console (kgx) and gtk-4-examples (should all behave the
same as ptyxis, if my guess is correct).
