Version: 46.2-3+b1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
I am using Debian 13 (testing) and I have upgraded a bunch of packages which
included gedit. During the upgrade the following warnings appeared:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gedit/plugins/externaltools/library.py:212:
SyntaxWarning: invalid escape sequence '\-'
RE_KEY = re.compile('^([a-zA-Z_][a-zA-Z0-9_.\-]*)(\[([a-zA-Z_@]+)\])?$')
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gedit/plugins/snippets/substitutionparser.py:162:
SyntaxWarning: invalid escape sequence '\s'
match = re.match('\\\\?%s\s*' % self.REG_GROUP, tokens)
This is probably due to some last changes in the way regular expressions work
in python 12, which is now the default in Debian 13 as far as I can see.
I don't know whether the warnings are innocuous or they hide some other errors
behind the scenes.
