This appears to be a regression triggered by gobject-introspection 1.82.0,
and is fixed in 3.50.0-1 (in experimental), probably by
<https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/pygobject/-/merge_requests/344>.

If there is nothing in particular blocking pygobject 3.50.x from going
to unstable, it would probably be better to address this via the new
upstream release rather than backporting individual fixes, so that we have
a consistent GNOME-47-based package set in testing/unstable.

Jeremy: are there known blockers for 3.50.x, other than the FTBFS on s390x
(#1085891) for which I'm already preparing a new upload?

If not, then this bug can be closed when re-uploading 3.50.x to unstable.
