I'm reassigning this to gnome-console (kgx) because with the information
available, it is not possible to know whether this is a bug in libvte,
GTK, gnome-console or something else. If it started with a libvte upgrade,
then it's perhaps most likely to be a libvte bug, but we don't yet know
that for sure.
This is not happening for everyone (I'm typing this message into a
gnome-console right now) so we will need more information.
Please run `reportbug --template gnome-console` to collect information
about the libraries that gnome-console depends on and what their
versions are. If you report bugs by using reportbug in future, then this
step will not be necessary.
Also please try to get a backtrace from this crash:
