I do not have a user on gitlab.gnome.org.  If I understand you
correctly, your requirements for getting a fix into Trixie is for me
submit a patch to an "kinda" unmaintained upstream who do not actively
process patches and get it merged into upstream in less than 20 days.
I'll see what I can do.  I guess you could just as well have asked me to
organize world peace...

Is there a more realistic alternative available?
