There are a few reverse dependencies and some of them are rather heavily
used: https://people.debian.org/~smcv/temp/2025/mbf-glade/

- gnunet-gtk: orphaned in Debian
     - appears to be mandatory, hard to tell
- libhandy-1: GNOME, key package
     - rdeps: gnome-control-center, among others
     - can build with -Dglade_catalog=disabled but I don't know whether
       it will break rdeps
- libpeas: GNOME, has non-trivial rdeps, key package?
     - budgie-desktop, eog, gedit, rhythmbox, totem among others
     - can build with -Dglade_catalog=false but I don't know whether
       it will break rdeps
- libpeas2: GNOME, has non-trivial rdeps
     - gnome-builder among others
     - might be an obsolete dependency, I don't see any code references
- libxfce4ui: XFCE, key package
     - basically all of XFCE!
     - appears to be compile-time-optional
- syncevolution: maintained in Debian but quite possibly dead upstream
     - possibly an obsolete dependency, I haven't looked closely

It looks like they're all using the libgladeui library, not the actual
app. We likely need at least a mini-mass-bug-filing for this.
