Bug#1111863: Evince shows squares instead of letters

I remember a similar bug several years ago.

In recently installed Testing (Forky) with Cinnamon, using Evince the 
window titles, the menus and the PDF sidebar don't display the 
characters correctly, but only a series of squares.From the console:
