On a second thought, I think that this actually _is_ the cause of the blank Apps tab problem. The gnome-control-center package depends only on "libmalcontent-0-0" and "malcontent-gui", not malcontent.

Either fix #991440 (move D-Bus and polkit data to libmalcontent-0-0) or change the gnome-control-center dependency from "libmalcontent-0-0" to "malcontent".

This should allow the "malcontent-gui" dependency to be changed to rec or sug afterwards without any issues.
