gnome-screensaver-flags is an extension for gnome-screensaver.
gnome-screensaver is the unmaintained GNOME 2 screensaver (see #895477),
and was superseded by GNOME Shell's integrated lock screen in about 2010.

Presumably gnome-screensaver-flags is not useful without
gnome-screensaver, and it will have to be removed from Debian when
gnome-screensaver is removed? I'm reporting this bug to give the
maintainer advance warning of this.

If gnome-screensaver is forked under some other name by an interested
developer, presumably gnome-screensaver-flags could be retargeted to be
an extension for that fork, instead. Information about replacements seems
most likely to appear on #895477.

Thanks,
