Bug#1108667: tecla: "Show Keyboard Layout" shows blank keyboard with the title "tecla"

When I click the keyboard layout selector in my top bar to open the
menu and select "Show Keyboard Layout", instead of seeing the current
keyboard layout, I see a blank keyboard with the title "tecla" above
it.

Same thing happens when I run tecla from the commmand line.
