Package: epiphany-browser
Version: 48~rc-1
Severity: important
X-Debbugs-Cc: d at alexisbrisset.com

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
Before the libc6 update, I encountered an assertion failure in epiphany-browser
at startup:
"epiphany-browser  ** epiphany:ERROR:../src/bookmarks/ephy-bookmarks-
dialog.c:301:populate_bookmarks_list_box: assertion failed:
(ephy_bookmarks_manager_tag_exists (self->manager, item)) Bail out!
epiphany:ERROR:../src/bookmarks/ephy-bookmarks-
dialog.c:301:populate_bookmarks_list_box: assertion failed:
(ephy_bookmarks_manager_tag_exists (self->manager, item)) Aborted"
After updating libc6, this error no longer appeared, but epiphany-browser
started crashing at startup with a segmentation fault. The logs show:
"[   95.090999] traps: epiphany[4266] general protection fault ip:7f89c97d4d66
sp:7fff3eee6928 error:0 in libc.so.6[182d66,7f89c967a000+165000]
[  155.193835] traps: epiphany[4387] general protection fault ip:7f66639d4dc7
sp:7fff8d40a6f8 error:0 in libc.so.6[182dc7,7f666387a000+165000]
[  398.228500] traps: epiphany[4894] general protection fault ip:7fc5b89d4d66
sp:7ffe83577d98 error:0 in libc.so.6[182d66,7fc5b887a000+165000]
"
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
I updated libc6, which replaced the assertion failure with a segmentation fault
   * What was the outcome of this action?
epiphany-browser remains unusable
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
