Package: nautilus
Version: 48~rc-2
Severity: important

Dear maintainers,

I'm having problems with Nautilus using a lot of CPU resources (more
than 90% of 1 core, on a recent laptop), seemingly for no reasons.

This seems like a somewhat recent change, as I didn't notice this issue
before this week.

Running it with "G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=all" gives me the attached log file,
but it seems the problem lies with the nautilus-async-jobs function that
tries to create thumbnails.

After a few minutes of nautilus being opened in a directory, it starts
spamming messages like these:

(org.gnome.Nautilus:35064): nautilus-async-jobs-DEBUG: 15:39:36.863:
stopping thumbnail info in 0x559773fb7700
(org.gnome.Nautilus:35064): nautilus-async-jobs-DEBUG: 15:39:36.863:
starting thumbnail info in 0x559773fb7700

Disabling thumbnails looks like it fixes the issues...

Cheers,
