Thanks for Gnome. Advice on fixing a GIMP bug?

Hi,

Thank you very much for maintaining Debian's
Gnome.

It's been useful for many years.

If you happen to have the time, and are so
inclined, feel free to let me know how to fix the
GIMP bug I reported at
    
    Run gimp and immediately get... "free(): invalid pointer"

I'd like to use GIMP again.
