Bug#1117980: Replicated at virtual terminal

I seem to have replicated the

    free(): invalid pointer

at virtual terminal one (Ie: "VT1").

I did it by

    switching from XWindows in VT7 to virtual
    terminal 1 by pressing the combination of keys

        control-alternate-F1

    logging in as my normal user and

    typing

        $ gdb gimp
        (gdb) run -i
        (gdb) bt

Gimp's "-i" option runs it without a user
interface.

It also crashed at gimpextension.c:415.

I hope replicating the bug outside of XWindows
might save debugging time by searching less code
for the bug.
