Bug#1129242: gnome-control-center: Enabling "Maximize Charge" on a laptop with two batteries freezes UI

Dear developers,

gnome-control-center suffers from the bug mentioned in the title.

This has been fixed in the 50.x branch, and the fix was recently 
backported to the 48.x and 49.x branches.

I just tested that the patch applies nicely onto 1:48.4-1~deb13u1.

A proposed-update (or updating the package to the next 48.x release when 
it's available) would be very useful to users who own a laptop with 
multiple batteries.

I'll provide the patch with a DEP-3 header after it gets a bug number.
