Package: libmozjs-140-0
Version: 140.6.0-1+b1
Severity: serious
Hi,
gdm fails to load since uprading libmozjs-140-0 to 140.6.0-1+b1. Only black
text terminal screen is shown with a cursor on the upper left corner. I can
switch to another tty as usual. I found the following in my journalctl output:
Starting org.gnome.Shell at wayland.service - GNOME Shell on Wayland...
/usr/bin/gnome-shell: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/aarch64-linux-gnu/libgjs.so.0: undefined symbol: __aarch64_ldadd4_acq_rel, version mozjs_140
org.gnome.Shell at wayland.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=127/n/a
org.gnome.Shell at wayland.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
Failed to start org.gnome.Shell at wayland.service - GNOME Shell on Wayland.
org.gnome.Shell at wayland.service: Triggering OnFailure= dependencies.
org.gnome.Shell-disable-extensions.service - Disable GNOME Shell extensions after failure was skipped because of an unmet condition check (ConditionPathExists=/run/user/60582/gnome-shell-disable-extensions).
the problem appeared with libmozjs-140-0 140.6.0-1+b1. Downgrading
libmozjs-140-0 to version 140.6.0-1 makes gdm3 show up again.
Filing this as RC because it makes the system unusable for most users.
Thanks!
cheers, josch
