It's that time of year again: a new GNOME Shell release has changed the 
API presented to extensions, and therefore requires changes in GNOME 
Shell extensions.

gnome-shell-extensions in experimental is already at version 50~alpha, 
but we should probably update it to 50.0 final before doing the GNOME 
Shell 50 transition. Perhaps someone who regularly uses these extensions 
could take care of that?
