This library is only used by two other packages, planner and sequeler, 
and doesn't seem to be in good health upstream[1]. Perhaps the 
maintainers of those packages could try to help libgda upstream, or look 
for patches that might already have addressed compatibility with newer 
autoconf/gettext?
