Bug#1146840: gdm3: Is /usr/share/gdm/generate-config still necessary?

Package: gdm3
Version: 50.2-1
Severity: normal
File: /usr/share/gdm/generate-config

Hello,

It seems that gdm is now using a systemd dynamic user.

But I see that the /usr/share/gdm/generate-config script is still
creating files and attempting to realod dconf-service with the Debian-gdm
user. And the package is also trying loading that file via
/usr/share/dconf/profile/Debian-gdm

Is that script still needed? Shouldn't that script be using the dynamic
user? Shouldn't the compiled dconf file be moved to /run?

Kind regards,
Laurent Bigonville
