Package: ekiga
Version: 2.0.11-2ubuntu2
Severity: normal

Most modern webcam and capture devices are V4L2 based, but gstreamer and Ekiga both default to using V4L instead. The V4L API isn't even available in 2.6 kernels
beyond 2.6.15, so it makes much more sense to not default to it.

Webcam capture applications that use V4L2 will tend to throw errors that are daunting to new users for this reason.
