Looking further into this, the keyrings looked like this.

        $ ls -l ~/.gnupg/
        …       0  3. Sep 10:55 pubring.gpg
        … 3783194 23. Aug 22:57 pubring.gpg~
        … 3783194  3. Sep 10:55 pubring.gpg.tmp

`mv pubring.gpg.tmp pubring.gpg` solved the issue for me (also suggested
on IRC). Therefore I am setting the severity of this report to »normal«.

The question now is: “What program created `pubring.gpg.tmp` at 10:55
when the system froze (probably unrelated)?”.
