Package: gnupg2
Version: 2.1.7-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

I upgraded my system, which installed gnupg2 from 2.0.28-3 to 2.1.7-2

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

Try to decrypt a message with gnupg2, e.g. with 'gpg2 --decrypt'

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Pinentry answers me "Passphrase too long", and decryption fails.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

The message to be decrypted

Please note that the very same things works with the 'gpg' command.

I think that this is upstream issue 2038
(https://bugs.gnupg.org/gnupg/issue2038)

Thanks for working on gnupg in debian!
