Perhaps the "gnome" metapackage should "Depends: pinentry-gtk2", and gnome-core could add a Recommends? Though, ideally, gnome-shell should provide an integrated pinentry program, similar to the existing integrated gnome-keyring prompts. - Josh Triplett
