hey folks--
A few days ago in experimental, i broke out gnupg-l10n from the gnupg
binary package in the gnupg2 source.
Today (also in experimental) i just uploaded a revised gnupg1 package,
with major changes: the source package is now "gnupg1", and i've
overhauled debian/rules to use modern dh style. This change is in NEW,
and is (i think) the last change needed before we move this stuff
through to unstable.
I've just posted a blog post (markdown source attached below) about the
upcoming transition in an attempt to advertise more widely:
https://debian-administration.org/users/dkg/weblog/116
and am considering sending it (or something like it) to
debian-devel-announce.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions, ideas, or concerns about
this transition. A few days after gnupg1 makes it from NEW to
experimental, i hope to upload both gnupg1 and gnupg2 into unstable with
these changes intact.
