Sandro: Assuming 2.1, you can also do this:

  GNUPGHOME=<long_dir_name>
  export GNUPGHOME
  gpgconf --create-socketdir
  [.. your test code ...]

which creates a dedicated directory below /run/user to be used for
sockets.  For cleanup you can use --remove-socketdir; use -v to see what
it actually does.
