Package: dirmngr
Version: 2.1.16-3
Severity: serious
User: debian-qa at lists.debian.org

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package failed to install. As
per definition of the release team this makes the package too buggy for
a release, thus the severity.

>From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  Selecting previously unselected package dirmngr.
  Preparing to unpack .../48-dirmngr_2.1.16-3_i386.deb ...
dpkg-maintscript-helper: error: dpkg: error: version '' has bad syntax: version string is empty
dpkg: error processing archive /tmp/apt-dpkg-install-P10DjX/48-dirmngr_2.1.16-3_i386.deb (--unpack):
subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1
dpkg-maintscript-helper: error: dpkg: error: version '' has bad syntax: version string is empty
  dpkg: error while cleaning up:
subprocess new post-removal script returned error exit status 1

cheers,

Andreas
