One advantage of putting things into debian experimental is that we
don't have to worry as much about ABI stability -- while we wouldn't
want really radical changes, the folks who use debian experimental can
generally be expected to understand and deal with some minor ABI
breakage, particularly in functionality that is not yet part of any
other debian-distributed package (i.e. if it only happens to things in
experimental in the first place).
